World Grid v1 into v2
The World Grid is a VERY rough sketch to try and illustrate a project I want to make that is considerable more complicated (and in a language that I have no skill in). Making it in construct is a neat way to get some stuff working quickly. I'm very privileged to have a patient friend who has tested and made their own little game with this already.
The first version allowed players to walk around the grid, drop a pin (a little egg) and write a message attached to it. This would remain at that point on the grid. People (eventually. It's a very solitary experience right now.) could walk through and see messages already left in the world.
Version two adds two additional layers to the messaging system. Initially I was trying to find a way to allow players to add to messages already in the world, but instead tried this workaround that sort of tiers messages as they're left. The final tier can always be amended, with the previous ones becoming locked.
Currently the bug I'm throwing my head at is that the third layer symbol/message doesn't want to trigger first time. You have to press the space bar a couple of times to get it to actually work. Not sure why yet...
